When you need a formal suit or sports coat, the first question that needs to be answered is whether it's for business or pleasure.
If it's for business we'll look at colour, three button or two button, double breasted or single breasted and fabrics such as pure wool, wool-cashmere or wool-silk blends and how often you'll be wearing it to make sure your suit suits you.
If it's for pleasure such as a wedding, engagement, or a day at the races, we'll ask all these questions, plus the most important one "What is your lady wearing?" to ensure your suit not only suits you but suits her as well.
When these questions have all been answered, the professional wardrobe consultants at Gentlemen's Outfitters Charletown will show you a selection that will let you stride out in style with over 600 suits and sports coats in stock at any one time.

Gentlemen's Outfitters Charlestown Tips On Suits and Sports Coats
Tip 1: When wearing a three button, single breasted suit or sports coat, ensure that you only ever do up the top two buttons, leaving the bottom one open. Not only is it a long-standing dress tradition, it also allows you to have access to your pockets without having to undo your jacket.
Tip 2: Shirts sleeves should come past your jacket sleeve approximately half an inch, just to show a hint of the shirt or the quality of your cuff-links.
Tip 3: The ideal length of suit trousers should hit the back of your shoe heel, and have a slight fold over your instep. Never show a bit of ankle!
Tip 4: When hanging a suit or sports coat in your wardrobe, always store them in breathable suit-purpose travel bags rather than plastic or polyester, as it will stop them sweating and protect them from mould and mildew. Available at Gentlemen's Outfitters Charlestown as a complimentary gift when you purchase your new suit or sports coat.
